Gala Event Byron Bay “Mini Festival”

the brief

Agent 86 secured a private hinterland property in Byron Bay and transformed it into a bespoke, festival-style experience inspired by the spirit of Byron Bay Bluesfest — designed specifically for the audience.

Over four days, an empty field became a fully functioning event environment featuring live music, roaming food experiences, open fires, unique bars, and authentic festival-style activations.

Challenging weather conditions and a temporary power outage could have derailed the evening — instead, it became part of the magic. The musicians continued acoustically, suppliers adapted seamlessly, the entire environment took on an unexpectedly raw and authentic energy.

Guests genuinely thought parts of the experience had been staged.

Result

A highly immersive event that felt both premium and completely natural to its setting.

More importantly, it reinforced the importance of experience, instinct, and calm execution under pressure, with firm back up contingencies in place — turning an already memorable event into one guests still reference years later.
